Okay, last one before the big road trip.

This one is for you blackbear. As per your request, you are now a superhero.

Liam was working in the forge one day when a freak smithy accident turned the part time blacksmith into the young Nick Ferrous, the Man of Iron. Vowing to use his powers for good, Nick Ferrous and his sidekick Dewey the Decimator took up the challenge to combat evil, preserve justice, and return delinquent books to the public library!

With a swing of his mighty hammer he would strike with precision forcing the evildoer to bend to his will. But this superhero was not without flaws, no, no. He would occasionally succumb to fits of bear like rage where only the introduction of a shiny little thing (and the occasional cute puppy) could squelch his flames of anger. He was without equal in a battle. Well, almost...

Nick Ferrous
the Man of Iron

Metal Bender

Only his arch rival, the cold and calculating Metal Bender, could withstand his trademark bellow as he leaped into battle, riveting his opponents to the ground in fear.

For you see, Metal Bender considered Nick Ferrous's heated approach unnecessary to shaping the outcome of a beating. Though the two remained friends, they walked separate paths toward their goals of ridding the earth of the filthen ash of existence.

Thanks, thanks to thee, my worthy friend,
For the lesson thou hast taught!
Thus at the flaming forge of life
Our fortunes must be wrought;
Thus on its sounding anvil shaped
Each burning deed and thought!

-The Village Blacksmith,
by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
